| Wintec’s embedded modem modules are available in two sizes, SLM24xx series of 1.0-inch x 2.0-inch (25.4mm x 50.8mm) and SL24xx series of 0.9-inch x 1.4-inch (22.86 mm x35.56 mm). Both form factors meet the global telephone line standards and are FCC Part 15, FCC Part 68, CTR21, IC-CS03 compliant, and are UL certified meeting European Union Directives with CE marking and RoHS compliance. Our embedded data modems features fast connect modes, parallel phone detection, line-in-use monitoring, caller ID and excellent surge immunity. Embedded modems are used in number of applications such as point-of-sale (EPOS), alarm panel, medical equipment, transportation, wind energy and remote monitoring. Wintec has implemented two different interfaces to meet various customer demands. One is parallel mode interface where the data transactions between the host and the modem use an 8-bit data bus with a set of micro-controller signals at the interface. The other uses an UART interface, where the embedded modem operates in serial mode to handle data transfer with the host system. |
