I installed my USB CX Modem correctly, but I am receiving the following error code, 'Error 718'. What should I do?
There are several possible causes for 'Error 718' The following lists causes and their possible solutions:
Poor phone line quality
If you are using extension cords or faxes or any similar device, disconnect them and try again.
A problem with the server at your ISP
Find out if your ISP is experiencing server problems.
The wrong username and/or password was entered
Make sure to enter the correct username and password.
The wrong phone number was dialed by the connection
Verify that the correct access number is being used.
The server type settings may be incorrect on the computer
Make sure you enter all the server type settings correctly on the computer you are dialing from.
